Went in 5/5 to grab breakfast, which was 2 bacon egg and cheese sandwiches. One on a biscuit and the other on a croissant, fries, bottle of water and a Red Bull. Ended up paying right at 24$. The girl told us oh breakfast stops at 10, which the sign said 1030 but the cooks said we were good to order so not a problem. Now when you think of a sandwich you’re not thinking scrambled eggs, you’d think a fried egg but no. We got what was basically a platter cause the eggs were just in the container and we had to scoop our eggs back onto the bread. Also there wasn’t any cheese on either sandwich. The biscuit was dry and flavorless. The fries tasted like they were cooked in old oil. Ended up throwing the food away. Have your cooks make any of the sandwiches with a FRIED EGG, no more scrambled. Most likely wouldn’t return to buy any food item. Employees were nice.

Just sat down to eat my food I picked up 30 minutes ago and it is still hot and crispy tasting! Nothing soggy! Definitely recommend the fries and tenders! Also Kenny and the rest of the staff are always so nice and welcoming!

I readily writing good, appreciative reviews. I believe in recognizing good service, good people, good products, and good experiences, and I try to support those good things. This is not one of those times.

Rough start. I was taken aback when I was told I had to pay for the food over the phone, for a pick up order. Never did that in the years I have made phone in orders to this store, and have never been asked to do that by anyone else I do food business with.

So, we decided to order in person. My husband drove to store, ordered 2 hamburgers, 1 cheeseburger, all with 'everything', a greek salad and onion rings. He paid $46.16 for it.up front. He tipped $6.02, up front. Food unseen. He bought $19.08 in gas. He went inside and picked up the food. He came home. The burgers were all dry and naked. No tomatoes, lettuce, onion, mayo, mustard, or even ketchup. He was hungry and did not want to drive back to get the order corrected. However, he did anyway. We're out of ketchup and the options were bleak. When my husband got back to the trading post, the owner and manager were both there. They acknowledged there had been a mistake. They were very nice and got the burger dressings added.

But there was no consideration given for the frustration, older, colder food, etc. The whole experience was discouraging. Although the Greek salad was very fresh and we enjoyed that.

We went into the store 2 different times on Sunday 6/30/24 and was treated incredibly well by all 3 of the young ladies that were working. Very, very nice and very friendly. I don't know if they are the daughters of the owner's or what but these young ladies give the impression of a very good upbringing. I wish that I had gotten their names to include on here. As for the store it was very, very clean and that seems to be incredibly rare these days. The location is also very good, being on the water like that. We were going hiking near by and just wanted something to eat. We ended up getting some left over breakfast and it was really good. We are really impressed with this place and we will absolutely be back. This is the type of place that America needs and they type of place that used to be common place. Thank you Blackwater Trading Post for taking pride in what you do!!

$11 for a BLT? I mean come on!! It’s a gas station, bait shop. Much much better with the previous owners. I’ll just go the extra 4 miles to then Ar-co on princess anne, food is better and more reasonably priced. The staff were pleasant though, that’s why it got the star

Delicious food! wonderful staff, they’re always helpful and kind every time I walk in. Snacks always hit the spot.
Honestly wouldn’t normally order tuna from a gas station BUT they’re so much more than that, Ari & kk know what’s up and the tuna wrap definitely hit the spot!!!

I was so excited to swing by for a grab and go lunch because I have been drooling over all of the BTP food posts on Facebook. I didn’t see the automated menu when I got there, apparently it wasn’t on, but had some questions, and felt like I burdening the staff by asking. Based on the mentioned posts, I wasn’t taken back by the prices. Once I had my basic burger in hand, however, I was more than disappointed. There was way more bun than burger and tasted just like a boxed freezer burger. It definitely wasn’t anything special.
As for the store itself, it does have a little bit of everything and is extremely clean.
